Milestone for Posco-CSPC Accumulated Sales
12/18/2009 - Posco-CSPC achieved an accumulated sales mark of 1 million tonnes on December 16. It expects to achieve 300,000 tonnes in annual sales around December 21, which would make it the first Posco supply-chain management unit to reach that mark.
Posco-CSPC achieved an accumulated sales mark of 1 million tonnes on December 16. Since being launched on May 1, 2004, the company needed only five years and seven months to reach the mark after posting over 30% growth each year.
Posco-CSPC expects to achieve 300,000 tonnes in annual sales around December 21, which would make it the first among Posco’s 42 supply-chain management units across the world to reach that record.
The company believes that it has consolidated its post as China’s largest steel sheet-processing center, offering car parts and materials. In the Huadong region, in particular, Posco-CSPC says it has stably supplied steel sheets for automobiles, as well as additional services, for some 100 customers, including Shanghai Volkswagen, Shanghai GM, Nanjing Ford, Brose, and Bentley.
The company will celebrate the achievement on December 18 with all of its employees and executives. Government officials in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, and other guests who have contributed to the company’s development are invited to celebrate at a dinner party that same day.
