Metso to Supply Iron Ore Induration Machine to Essar Steel
05/15/2008 - Metso Minerals will supply an iron ore induration machine to Essar Group’s Global Supplies Ltd.
Metso Minerals will supply an iron ore induration machine to Global Supplies Ltd., a member of the Essar Group.
The 744-square-meter machine will be installed at Essar Steel Holdings’ Paradeep Pellet Plant, located in Paradeep, India, where it will be used for the induration, or hardening, or iron ore pellets.
The order comprises the induration machine with 270 pellet cars, which will be capable of processing iron ore pellets at a feed rate of 700 tonnes per hour. Metso will also supply auxiliary equipment, and will be responsible for start-up, commissioning and training services.
The delivery will be completed during the second quarter of 2010. The value of the order is approximately EUR 17 million.
