Metso Outotec Contracted for Indian Iron Ore Pellet Plant
04/04/2022 - In an order valued at EUR 30 million, Metso Outotec will provide an iron ore grate kiln pellet plant to Jindal Steel Odisha Ltd. (JSOL), a subsidiary of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (JSPL) in Angul in eastern India.
Metso Outotec’s scope of supply for the 6-million-tons-per-year iron ore pellet plant includes engineering and major equipment.
This is the second pellet plant JSOL has ordered from Metso Outotec in the past 12 months. The first plant is currently being installed in the same location.
“Metso Outotec and JSPL have a strong history of working together in the field of iron ore pelletizing. We’re very pleased to be able to supply JSOL with two grate kiln pelletizing plants for their Angul location,” said Chris Urban, vice president, heat transfer products at Metso Outotec.
