Metinvest Honored for CSR among Ukrainian Businesses
03/26/2012 - Metinvest was ranked highest among Ukrainian businesses for its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, recognizing that the company carried out transparent and systemic activities, and integrated CSR into business-planning and its general strategy.
Metinvest was ranked highest among Ukrainian businesses for its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, recognizing that the company provided comprehensive information about implementation of CSR projects, carried out transparent and systemic activities, and integrated CSR into business-planning and the general strategy.
In 2011, Metinvest was ranked as one of five in the transparency and accountability rating in Ukraine, for heavy industry.
During the first six months of 2011, the Ukrainian enterprises of Metinvest also paid UAH 5.3 billion of taxes and levies, including the single social contribution of UAH 919.7 million. All payments are performed on time, in full, and correspond to the principle of transparent and responsible business practices, according to Metinvest Group.
In addition to the general indicators in the rating, special attention was paid to accessibility of the information, as well as systemic actions of the companies in the field of CSR, including stakeholder relations.
