Mechel Establishes Mecheltrans Management OOO
04/07/2010 - Mecheltrans Management OOO started operation on April 1, 2010. Mechel OAO established the company to increase management efficiency of Mechel group’s logistic assets, including preparation of solutions for goods transportation; control over shipment schedules; and capital development.

Mechel OAO established the company to increase management efficiency of Mechel group’s logistic assets, including preparation of complex solutions for goods transportation; control over Mechel’s plants shipment schedules; coordination, planning, and analysis of the group’s transportation subsidiaries’ operations; development of logistic assets; and capital development.
Mecheltrans Management manages Mecheltrans OOO and Mecheltrans Ukraine OOO, which provide rail and car transportation of goods. The structure of Mecheltrans Management includes Maritime Cargo Shipping OOO, Port Posiet OAO, Port Mechel-Temruyk ООО, Port Kambarka OAO, and Port Mechel-Vanino ООО (project). The new company also manages Mecheltrans Vostok OOO, which would control operations of Ulak-Elga railway.
Aleksandr Starodubov is appointed CEO of Mecheltrans Management OOO.
