McNeilus Steel Orders Fourth Red Bud Stretcher Leveling Line
12/31/2012 - McNeilus Steel recently ordered a .500” (12.7 mm) cut-to-length Line with a stretcher leveler with SUREGRIP® technology from Red Bud Industries for its Fond Du Lac, Wis., facility.
McNeilus Steel recently ordered a .500” (12.7 mm) cut-to-length Line with a stretcher leveler with SUREGRIP® technology from Red Bud Industries for its Fond Du Lac, Wis., facility. This is the fourth stretcher leveling line that McNeilus has purchased from Red Bud Industries. It joins the two lines at its Dodge Center, Minn., facility and the line at their Fargo, N.D., service center.
A Red Bud stretcher leveler can produce the flattest most stable material possible, virtually independent of incoming strip shape and severity. The operator simply stretches the material until it is flat. The result is a flat product that will stay flat and is particularly well suited for laser cutting applications where flatness is essential.
The line also features a heavy gage drop stacker that mounts directly to a variable rake shear. This configuration fully supports and neatly stacks heavy gage material. The drop stacker can process heavy gage sheets up to 480” (12192 mm) in length.
McNeilus Steel’s new Red Bud stretcher leveling line can process coils up to 72" (1829 mm) wide with a maximum weight of 80,000 lbs (36,287 kg). The line consists of an in-line stage & load system, dual stub uncoiler, heavy gage peeler/breaker, crop shear, dual cassette roller leveler, roller inspection area, dust collection system, stretcher leveler, heavy gage grip feed, variable rake shear, and a heavy gage drop stacker with end discharge rollouts.
