In a statement, CIS president Tom Schiller said the combination will allow the company to continue its legacy and offer more resources to customers.   
 
“Over the past several years, I’ve been looking for a way to keep our strong legacy going and to help us take the next step as an organization. I was committed to finding the best fit for all of us, and Mazzella has the right culture and the right leadership team to create more opportunities for us,” he said.
 
Mazzella executives said the deal provides the company with a strategic location in Nashville, Tenn., USA, and will strengthen its other Tennessee locations in Memphis and Chattanooga, as well as those in Oklahoma City, Okla.; Dallas, Texas; and Birmingham, Ala.
