Marmon/Keystone Canada Constructs New Saskatchewan Facility

The company's operations had outgrown their previous 18,000-square-foot facility at 106A Tubby Crescent in Saskatoon.

"The new facility is specifically designed to handle our products more efficiently and effectively," said regional manager David Collignon. "It will also give us the much-needed space to expand a number of our product lines, including drawn over mandrel tube, hollow structural sections, hot rolled seamless mechanical tube as well as stainless steel pipe, tube and bar."

The service center, which is a satellite location of the company's Headingly, Manitoba, branch, features two five-ton overhead cranes and a Kasto twin AE4 horizontal band saw. The facility serves customers throughout the province of Saskatchewan, the majority of whom operate in the agriculture, mining, oil and gas industries. Main product offerings include drawn over mandrel tube, hollow structural sections, hot rolled and electric resistance welded tube, stainless tube and bar, chrome bar and induction chrome bar.

Marmon/Keystone Canada Inc., an affiliate of Marmon/Keystone LLC of Butler, Pa., is a major distributor of tubular products, with more than 8,300 sizes and grades of carbon, stainless and aluminum tubular and bar products. Along with its Specialty Steels division, the company operates service centers and sales offices throughout Canada, with corporate offices in Burlington, Ontario.
