Chief Rolling Mill Manager

Dan Kovacs joins the Waterbury Farrel division of Magnum Integrated Technologies as Chief Rolling Mill Manager.

Mr. Kovacs received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, in 1971 and his Professional Engineering License from the State of Pennsylvania in 1975. He has been a member of the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers (now AIST) since 1975.

Mr. Kovacs has gained over thirty years’ experience in the design of rolling mill equipment for the metals’ industry with companies such as Wean United, Inc., SMS Schloemann Siemag, Inc., United Engineering, Inc., and Voest Alpine Industries, Inc. He also has more than eight years experience as a consulting engineer for metal producing companies, mill equipment builders and law firms.

He has held positions in various mill equipment building companies in Pittsburgh including Assistant Chief Engineer, Chief Engineer, Vice President Engineering, and General Manager, Rolling Mills and Processing Lines Division.
