Looking to the Future, Tenaris to Consider Texas Expansion
05/03/2018 - Tenaris is ramping up its new seamless tube mill in Texas, but might eventually look to expand to the operation, reports the Houston Chronicle’s FuelFix blog.
According to FuelFix, the company said it will weigh a potential expansion after it completes the ramp-up of its new seamless tube mill in Bay City, Texas. The ramp up is to be completed by next year, if not sooner.
"Shale (energy) is a story that will go on for the next 10, 20, 30, 40 years. Everyone has a long-term view, so we need to plan accordingly," Tenaris chief executive Paolo Rocca said.
