OAO Severstal is extending its partnership with the London Business School (LBS). As part of the LBS’s Executive MBA course, students will deliver a management consultancy project for Severstal focused on the development of its mining business in Africa.
As part of the LBS Executive MBA program, students must complete a consultancy project for a leading global business. A multinational team of LBS students, who chose to work with Severstal from long list of potential companies, will carry out a study and offer business solutions in relation to the development of the company’s mining business in Africa. All students involved in the project possess international business experience as well as highly-developed project management skills.
The team of students has already spent a week at Severstal’s headquarters in Moscow, researching the business and they will present the project’s findings in May.
Kirill Kozenyashev, head of Severstal’s commodity strategy and business development department in charge of the project, commented, “We are delighted with our partnership with one of the world’s leading business schools. The partnership with the London Business School offers Severstal an excellent opportunity to receive highly valuable advice from a team of experienced and qualified business people . In return, the students will be able to put in practice the theory they have learned during the training within a global business. It is our second year in the program and we are delighted that the students have maintained a keen interest in working with our company.”
