In a statement, Liberty said Dillon will serve as senior vice president and will be responsible for sales, marketing and customer support in the company’s current and future target markets. He will report to company president Vikrant Sharma.

“Tim has the talent, drive and depth of experience to make a real difference as Liberty grows its position at the forefront of the U.S. wire rod market,” Sharma said.

Dillon has 40 years of steel experience, having begun his career with United States Steel Corporation. He later worked at American Steel and Wire/Birmingham Steel; GS Industries; Georgetown Steel; and Baron Drawn Steel, where he served as president.

“Specializing in wire, rod and long products, Tim has developed unparalleled knowledge of these markets and earned a reputation for building high-performing teams that achieve outstanding results in all market conditions,” the company said.
