LIBERTY Ostrava Modernizes Guard Rail Line
10/14/2021 - The company announced it has completed a CZK 15.5 million upgrade to the plant’s Arnold line in the Czech Republic, which produces beams used for guard rails.
The investment allows the line to extend rails by almost 50% to more than 6 m long. This will make assembly of safety retention systems easier and quicker, according to LIBERTY.
“The Ostrava mill is one of the country’s biggest producers of safety retention systems, with more than half of the guard rails we make being used here at home,” said Tomáš Hamalčík, sales specialist for safety barriers and mine supports at LIBERTY Ostrava.
“We have implemented this innovation because of the rising interest of costumers in extended beams, which help them to install these important safety systems much more effectively,” Hamalčík added.
LIBERTY’s Ostrava facility has produced guard rails for more than half a century.
