The nozzle, the Billetcooler FLEX, allows for precise control of cooling over the entire turndown range, the company said in a statement. The company said the nozzle offers stable spray angles with large free cross-sections, ensuring optimum cooling. 

“The stable spray angle guarantees a constant secondary cooling surface in the entire nozzle operating range and will improve product quality on casters,” it said.   

Lechler said the nozzle's other advantages include high operating reliability, low operating and maintenance costs, and low noise emissions.
