Lakeside Steel Increases Production at End-Finishing Facility
10/20/2010 - Lakeside Steel Inc. has increased its tubing end-finishing production, which includes the process of upsetting, threading, and pressure testing tube products manufactured at the Welland facility, to meet demand and improve customer service.

The company plans to shift current employees and move from a single-shift to a three-shift operation at the end-finishing mill.
Lakeside Steel President and COO Ron Bedard said, "End finishing is a constraining factor in the energy tubular business. Lakeside has made strategic capital investments in both end finishing and our onsite rail system that will allow us to get our product to market in a more timely and cost-effective fashion."
