Lakeside Hires New Vice President Commercial
07/20/2011 - Lakeside Steel Inc. announced the appointment of Robert Okrzesik to the position of Vice President Commercial.
Lakeside Steel Inc. announced that Robert Okrzesik has joined the Company as Vice President Commercial.
In his new position, Okrzesik will be based in the company's U.S. office in Houston, Texas, where he will lead and direct all of Lakeside's North American sales and marketing initiatives.
Okrzesik has over 30 years’ experience in the sale and marketing of OCTG products. In addition to his most recent position as Vice President, North America, OCTG and Line Pipe with Evraz Inc. NA., he has also held executive positions with NS Group Inc. and Vinson Supply Co.
In addition to bringing extensive domestic and offshore industry knowledge and experience, Lakeside notes that Okrzesik has consistently driven sales growth throughout his career.

Lakeside, a diversified steel pipe and tubing manufacturer with a focus on manufacturing and upgrading Oil Country Tubular Goods, is the parent company of Lakeside Steel Corp., Lakeside Steel Alabama Inc. and Lakeside Steel Texas Inc. Lakeside has operating facilities located in Welland, Ont., and Corpus Christi, Texas, as well as three facilities currently being constructed in Thomasville, Ala. Lakeside's list of customers includes large oil and gas end users as well as distributors across North America.
Lakeside Steel Alabama will be a diversified steel pipe manufacturer with end-finishing and heat treat capabilities strategically situated in the southern United States. Construction of the Alabama facilities is currently underway.
