Kuwaiti Steelmaker Puts Bar Mill on Order
11/13/2017 - Italian bar mill equipment manufacturer Nuova Carpenteria Odolese (NCO) has won an order for a rebar mill from Kuwait’s Al-Oula Steel Manufacturing Company.
In a statement, NCO said the 18-stand, no-twist mill will be capable of producing 500,000 metric tons of rebar annually.
“It will feature highly efficient, in-line Thermo-Processing System, a High-Speed Delivery System and an automatic cut-to-length, bundling, tying and weighing area. Smaller sizes will be rolled in single-slit mode at 25 m/s. All the equipment will be manufactured by NCO in Italy,” the company said.
Start-up is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2018.
NCO is a leading supplier of rolling mill equipment for rod, bar and sections. Redstone Machinery LLC represents the company in the U.S. and Canada.
