KOCKS Wins Contract for South Korean Bar Mill Improvements
11/06/2018 - POSCO has contracted with German rolling mill specialist KOCKS for upgrades to a bar mill, the company has said.
In a statement, KOCKS said it will install a new Reducing & Sizing Block 370++/5, replacing the existing 23-year-old KOCKS finishing block. The new block will produce rounds in diameters ranging from 14 mm to 55 mm.
“The planned measures will increase the automation degree of the rolling mill with higher process monitoring capabilities and faster adjustments. Results will be an increased productivity and profitability of the rolling mill,” KOCKS said in a statement.
Commissioning is scheduled for the end of 2019.
