KOCKS said the orders are from special bar quality (SBQ) makers Fujian Sangang Minguang Group Co. Ltd. and Xinyu Iron & Steel Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Baosteel Group. Both blocks will be installed at new rolling mills. 

At Fujian Sangang Minguang, KOCKS will install a three-roll reducing and sizing block as the finishing unit after a 2-high reversing roughing mill. It will produce straight bars in diameters of 50 mm to 130 mm. The installation is expected to be completed in early 2024.

At Xinyu Iron & Steel, the reducing and sizing block also will function as the finishing unit at the end of 22 stands in a 560,000-metric-ton SBQ mill. The unit will produce straight bars in diameters of 20 mm to 90 mm. 

Commissioning is set for the end of this year.
