KOCKS Lands Order for Bar Mill Reducing, Sizing Block
11/23/2022 - India’s Tata Steel Long Products Ltd. has contracted rolling mill sizing specialist Friedrich KOCKS GmbH & Co. KG for a reducing and sizing block that will serve the steelmaker’s new rolling mill complex in Jamshedpur.
The block will be set up as the finishing unit on a 500,000-metric-ton combined special bar quality and wire rod mill. Set after a reversing mill, the block will make straight bars in diameters of 20 mm to 90 mm and will produce the feeders for the wire rod line.
In addition to the block, KOCKS also will equip the roll shop.
Commissioning is scheduled for the first quarter of 2024.
