Kobe Steel Executive Tapped for CEO Role
03/12/2018 - Kobe Steel has named a company veteran to its helm following the resignation of chief executive Hiroya Kawasaki, who is stepping down as a result of the quality control scandal that has shaken the Japanese steelmaker.
Mitsugu Yamaguchi, 60, currently serves as executive vice president of Kobe Steel’s machinery business. He will step into his new role on 1 April.
He began his Kobe Steel career in 1981 and has come up through Kobe Steel’s industrial machinery business.
