Steelmaker of the Year

“As you look at the 20th century, more has been accomplished than in any other century society has known. The accomplishments of this remarkable age are the results of the creative thoughts of engineering groups and engineers and I am indeed grateful for this award.

“Many people have asked me what my greatest accomplishment in my career has been. I’d have to say the creation of 1,700 new jobs and that these people now believe in their future and the future of this industry.

"On behalf of the 1,700 people at Steel Dynamics, I am proud to accept this award.”

Keith E. Busse,
