Turkish integrated long steel producer Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. (Kardemir) announced it received approval from Turkey's Ministry of Environment and Urbanism for its environmetal impact assessment (EIA) report in relation to its planned steelmaking capacity increase.

Karedemir had submitted the EIA report to the Ministry regarding its plans to increase liquid steel production capacity at its iron and steel plant to 3.5 million tonnes per year.
