09/24/2019 - JSW Steel's Dolvi works in India is expanding its relationship with mill services contractor Harsco Corp., signing three multi-year contracts for additional services.
In an announcement Tuesday, Harsco said it has been contracted to set up and operate a ladle furnace slag briquetting plant and a slag processing plant that utilizes its patented steam box technology. It also will be tasked with managing all meltshop activities, Harsco said.
The contracts are valued at US$75 million and will run for the next 10 to 15 years.
“I am proud of our team's performance at the Dolvi site, which no doubt has contributed to this extended agreement with JSW,” Harsco Environmental regional president of India Siva Subramaniyam said in a statement. “We look forward to continuing this relationship well into the next two decades and to further partner with JSW to meet their business and sustainability goals."
