JSW Steel Secures Two Iron Ore Mines at Auction
02/04/2020 - JSW Steel is gaining 980 million metric tons worth of iron ore reserves after winning government auctions for the mines, reports The (India) Economic Times.
According to The Times, the company on Sunday won the Narayanposhi iron ore block, which has 190 million metric tons of reserves, after claiming the Nuagaon iron ore block on Friday. It has estimated reserves of about 790 million metric tons.
According to the newspaper, the successful bids for the Odisha mines are important as JSW is planning a greenfield mill in the state.
