JSW Steel Reports 9% Increase in Crude Steel Production for Q1 FY 2012

JSW Steel Limited reported the production of 1.71 million tonnes of crude steel in the first quarter of fiscal year 2012.
 
The crude steel production total, which included 0.03 million tonnes of trial-run steel from the expansion project, reflects a 9% increase over crude steel production for the first quarter of fiscal year 2011.
 
Also for the first quarter of fiscal year 2012, the company reported the production of 1.19 million tonnes of flat rolled steel products, a 9% increase compared to the first quarter of fiscal year 2011, and 0.35 million tonnes of long rolled products, a 12% increase compared to the first quarter of fiscal year 2011.
