JSW Steel Eyes Green Steel Plant
10/24/2023 - As the European Union begins to roll out its tariff plan on CO2 intensive steels, India’s JSW Steel is looking to build a green steel facility by 2030, reports the business publication Mint.
In an interview, Jayant Acharya, JSW Steel joint managing director and chief executive officer, said the facility, if greenlighted by the board, would be built in western India and have an annual capacity of 4 million metric tons.
