JSW Steel Expands U.S. Presence with Sheet Mill Acquisition
03/29/2018 - India’s JSW Steel is acquiring the operator of a former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel mill in Ohio for about US$81 million, reports The Hindu newspaper.
According to the newspaper, the company said Thursday that the stock purchase agreement with Acero Junction and its ownership will deepen its presence in the North American market.
Acero acquired the Mingo Junction, Ohio, mill in 2016 and began rolling sheet in the following year.
