JSW Steel About to Restart Ohio EAF
11/21/2018 - JSW Steel’s U.S. division is expected to throw the switch on its Mingo Junction, Ohio, electric arc furnace sometime next week, reports The (Wheeling, W.Va.) Intelligencer newspaper.
According to the newspaper, the 14-year-old furnace at the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel facility has been idle since 2009. Its restart is part of a broader JSW Steel initiative to expand its steelmaking operations in the U.S.
