JSW Posts 53% Increase in Crude Steel Production
09/09/2009 - JSW Steel Ltd. again reported its highest-ever monthly crude steel production of 0.521 million tonnes in August 2009, besting the previous record of 0.502 million tonnes posted just last month.
JSW Steel Ltd. again reported its highest-ever monthly crude steel production of 0.521 million tonnes in August 2009, besting the previous record of 0.502 million tonnes posted just last month. The total represents a 53% increase vs. the August 2008 figure of 0.341 million tonnes.
The company also registered 159% growth with its long rolled products in August: 0.074 million tonnes produced compared to 0.028 million tonnes in August 2008.
Flat rolled products showed growth of 8%, with 0.302 million tonnes produced in August vs. 0.280 million tonnes in August 2008.
