JSW Posts 123% Growth in Crude Steel Production

JSW Steel Ltd. reported crude steel production of 480,000 tonnes for November 2009 compared to 215,000 tonnes in the corresponding month last fiscal year, up 123%.
Rolled flat products showed growth of 94%, with 315,000 tonnes produced in November 2009 vs. 162,000 tonnes last November. Rolled long products are up 197%—68,000 tonnes compared to last year’s 23,000 tonnes.
The company achieved 3.85 million tonnes of crude steel production cumulatively up to November 2009 in the current fiscal year, showing growth of 52% compared to the corresponding period of last year.
