Jindal Stainless Bags the 13th Annual Greentech Safety Award 2014
08/29/2014 - Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), the largest integrated manufacturer of stainless steel in India, has been facilitated with the prestigious 13th Annual Greentech Safety Award 2014 in Gold Category in Metal & Mining Sector.
This year’s ceremony will be held on 13 September 2014 at Hyderabad.
This award is presented on an annual basis by the Greentech Foundation to recognize the companies who have shown the highest possible standards in excellence in fire & safety management.
On receiving the award, Mr. Rohit Raina, head – corporate affairs, JSL said, “It's a distinct honor to receive the 13th Annual Greentech Safety Award 2014. The award is a great source of pride for the company showcasing workplace safety thereby encouraging those responsible for workplace safety management. At Jindal Stainless Limited, we are extremely proud of our health and safety culture. The safety and well-being of our employees, customers and suppliers is paramount and this award is testament to our management and employees who make safety their number one priority.”
Speaking on the subject, Shri S.K. Agrawal, unit head, JSL, said, "We are very proud to have won this accolade. This award reflect that safety and quality management is in the DNA of the company and now this awards has recognized the role that we have played towards the safety implementation at our unit. At JSL, we do not view safety as a responsibility but incorporate it as a part of our daily routine.”
The company has also won several awards in safety, quality and health management in the past like National Energy Conservation Award 2013, Pollution Control Award 2011 and CII national excellence award 2009.
