JFE Steel Sets Blast Furnace Revamp
10/03/2019 - Japan's JFE Steel will undertake a JPY50 billion (US$467.9 million) rebuild of the No. 4 blast furnace at its Kurashiki facility, the company has said.
In an announcement, the company said the project will increase the furnace's interior volume from 5,005 m3 to 5,100 m3, an increase of 2%. The furnace is on its third campaign and was last blown-in in January 2002.
