Jemison Demsey Metals Selects Butech Bliss for New Stretch Leveling CTL Line

Butech Bliss has been selected to design, manufacture, and install a new 5/8" x 96" wide heavy gauge stretch leveling cut-to-length line for installation at Jemison Demsey Metals’ new coil processing center in Decatur, Ala. The equipment will process a wide range of products including hot rolled carbon steel, HRPO, cold rolled steel and galvanized steel. This state-of-the-art line includes Butech Bliss’ patent pending Synergy Leveling System™ and an AC driven shear with camber compensation. The line includes systems to measure flatness, width and material thickness.

Construction of Phase I of our new facility in Decatur, Ala., is currently underway and we anticipate we will be in full production in the third quarter of 2013. Future expansion plans will triple the plant size over the next several years and further improve our footprint in the mid-south and southeastern markets.
