Japan's Government Wants to Jump-Start Green Steel Development

06/23/2021 - Japan hopes to speed up development of hydrogen-based steelmaking and help the country’s steel producers become leaders in green steel production, reports commodities news and pricing provider Argus Media.

According to the publication, Japan’s trade and industry ministry unveiled a plan to subsidize green steelmaking technology and promote hydrogen-based reduction in blast furnace operations.
