ITC to Revoke Duties on Steel Reinforcing Bar from Turkey

The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) will revoke its existing antidumping duty order on steel concrete reinforcing bar from Turkey.

The decision follows the Commission’s five-year (sunset) review and determination that revoking the existing order would not be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time.

Chairman Shara L. Aranoff, Vice Chairman Daniel R. Pearson, and Commissioners Deanna Tanner Okun and Dean A. Pinkert voted in the negative. Commissioners Charlotte R. Lane and Irving A. Williamson voted in the affirmative.

This action comes under the five-year (sunset) review process required by the Uruguay Round Agreements Act. The five-year review of the antidumping duty order on steel concrete reinforcing bar from Turkey was initiated on February 1, 2008. The Commission voted on May 6, 2008 to conduct a full review.
