According to Danieli, the steelmaker has ordered a new rotary cutting shear and coilers, as well as controlled cooling, coil handling and coil compacting and tying systems. 

“This will enable ABS to expand its original product range of 15 to 50 mm diameter rounds into 12.6 to 63 mm diameter rounds in master coil weights up to 4.5 metric tons, as well as to fully exploit the 120-metric-tons-per-hour capacity of the mill,” Danieli said in a statement.

Danieli supplied the original mill in 2000, it said.
