'It's Never Easy to Resolve This Issue,' Says OECD Steel Committee Chairman
09/23/2016 - The outgoing chairman of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s steel committee says “many difficulties lie ahead” as the world looks for agreements to bring steelmaking capacity in line with demand.
In an interview with the Bloomberg news service, committee chairman Risaburo Nezu said one hurdle may be the unwillingness of emerging nations to forgo plans for building domestic industries though government subsidies.
