It's All Coming Together: Algoma Steel Links Skeleton of EAF Building
11/02/2023 - Algoma Steel’s electric arc furnace (EAF) installation has reached a new construction milestone as the company has put in place the last of four crane girders, according to a regional business publication.
According to Northern Ontario Business, the girders join opposing ends of the main EAF building, which was being erected from both ends. The girders are 100 feet long and weigh 120 tons, according to the publication.
