ISRA VISION PARSYTEC Providing Surface Inspection System to Turkish Steelmaker
02/28/2014 - ISRA VISION PARSYTEC, a supplier of surface inspection systems for the metal industry, was awarded a contract by Turkish steel manufacturer ISDEMIR.
ISRA VISION PARSYTEC is now installing an expansion to its SURFACE MASTER surface inspection system at the plant's hot wide strip conveyor in İskenderun. ISDEMIR, a subsidiary of ERDEMIR, is considered one of the largest flat steel producers in Europe with an annual output of 3.5 million tons.
ISDEMIR's objective is to continuously ensure that its products are manufactured at the highest possible quality level. ISRA VISION PARSYTEC provides a solution in the form of state-of-the-art inspection technology. In addition to special cameras on the top surface, the production system is equipped with a movable sensor that is directed towards the bottom surface of the steel coil. Optimally coordinated to each other, ISDEMIR is now able to inspect both sides of the coil at the same time. The result is the ability to seamlessly detect even the smallest defects, ensuring quality products to almost 100%. As for the SURFACE MASTER software, ISDEMIR is also getting an upgrade: Integrating the EXPERT5i modules CoilRelease and ProcessAnalysis which helps to even further optimize the manufacturing process. As an example, with it the user can, depending on the quality of the finished coils, make the most ideal usage decision every time.
