Invasion Continues to Weigh Down Ukraine Steel Industry
10/26/2023 - Ukraine’s steel industry is being hobbled by Russia’s export blockade and last year pushed down production to 6.3 million metric tons, reports the Reuters news service.
"If we do not have open seaports, our industry will not survive, and all other (industries) will follow us," Oleksandr Kalenkov, head of Ukraine's steelmakers' union, told Reuters.
