International Stainless Steel Forum Elects New Officers
05/24/2013 - The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has elected new office bearers during the organization’s 17th Annual Conference (ISSF-17) which was held in New Orleans, La., from 15–16 May.
The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has elected new office bearers during the organization’s 17th Annual Conference (ISSF-17) which was held in New Orleans, La., from 15–16 May.
Philippe Darmayan, chief executive officer of Aperam, has been elected chairman of ISSF for a two year term.
Bernardo Velázquez of Acerinox Group, and Suh, Young-Sea of POSCO have been elected as vice chairmen. Mika Seitovirta, president and CEO of Outokumpu has been re-elected as ISSF treasurer for the coming year.
The Board of ISSF is elected for one year and comprises:

- Bernardo Velázquez, Acerinox Group (vice chairman of ISSF)
- Cui Jian, Baosteel Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. (replaces Lou Dingbo)
- Thiery Crémailh, SCHMOLZ+BICKENBACH (replaces Benedikt Niemeyer)
- Clemens Iller, Outokumpu/ThyssenKrupp
- Ratan Jindal, Jindal Stainless Ltd.
- Hiroshi Kinoshita, Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless Steel
- Li Xiaobo, Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co. Ltd.
- David Martin, Columbus Stainless (Pty) Ltd.
- Toshinori Miki, Nisshin Steel Co., Ltd.
- Takafumi Nishiuma, JFE Steel Corporation (replacing Hiroshi Ueda)
- Mika Seitovirta, Outokumpu (treasurer of ISSF)
- Tadashi Shimao, Daido Steel Co., Ltd.
- Suh Young-Sea, POSCO (replacing Kim Joon-Sik) (vice chairman of ISSF)
