Integrated Mill Systems recently finished its drives & automation upgrade of the ArcelorMittal Cleveland Works TCM, on time and budget. Production goals were met after a total revamp of drives and level 1 controls in a two week shutdown.
Cleveland is one of ArcelorMittal's largest facilities in the U.S. It is a fully integrated steelmaking facility strategically located on the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland, Ohio, with good access to the Port of Cleveland and Great Lakes shipping. The plant operates two blast furnaces and is capable of producing 3.8 million tons of raw steel annually. It consists in large part of the former LTV and Republic Steel plants and has stood on this site since 1913 on the East Side.
