Ispat Mexicana SA de CV (Imexsa), Mexico, has commissioned a 220-tonne RH plant with equipment supplied by SMS Mevac GmbH, Germany.

SMS Mevac’s scope of supply comprised the TOP lance and vacuum pump system including engineering as well as supervision of commissioning.

Imexsa will use new unit to produce grades destined mainly for the automobile industry (EDDQ) as well as heavy plates (MC grades).
