Hydrogen Takes Center Stage in New Collaboration Agreements
03/18/2021 - POSCO and Australian electricity and natural gas producer Origin Energy have signed a memorandum of understanding on an effort to bring green hydrogen to South Korea, reports the The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper.
According to the newspaper, Origin and POSCO will collaborate producing and supplying hydrogen.
In a separate development, Canada and Germany have agreed to work together on energy policy and research, especially as it relates to hydrogen.
“New international energy relationships, like this one with Germany, will help us lower global emissions. Canada and Germany are both committed to phasing out coal, ramping up hydrogen production and a price on pollution. We’re focused on net zero by 2050, an economy that continues to create good jobs and a low-emissions future that leaves no worker behind,” said Seamus O’Regan Jr., Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources.
