Hydnum Steel Enlists Ports Operator for Help in Developing Logistics Solutions
09/05/2024 - Spanish green steel startup Hydnum steel has signed a memorandum of understanding with port and logistics operator Euroports to develop integrated logistics solutions that will optimize the steel supply chain across the continent.
“Under this agreement, both companies will work closely in the design and implementation of an efficient and sustainable logistics network, focused on improving the transportation, storage, and distribution of the steel coils that Hydnum Steel will produce at its Puertollano plant,” the company said in a statement.
“The collaboration also considers efficient and reliable logistics solutions for key steelmaking raw materials such as ferrous scrap, green metallics, and iron ore from various sources and different origins.”
The company said the effort will focus on four key areas: supply chain optimization, sustainability, operational efficiency, and growth and expansion.
“This agreement represents a significant step towards improving our supply chain. We will be able to offer to customers high-quality green steel products with maximum efficiency and sustainability,” said Fernando Pessanha, Hydnum Steel’s chief strategy officer.
