Horsehead Employees Reach Tentative Agreement on New Contract
08/31/2007 - Just as the current contract is about to expire, members of United Steelworkers local 8183-25 reach a tentative labor agreement covering 32 hourly members at Horsehead's Monaca, Pa., facility.
Horsehead Holding Corp. announced that members of United Steelworkers local 8183-25 reached a tentative labor agreement late on Wednesday (August 29).
The local represents 32 hourly members at Horsehead's power plant at its Monaca facility. Upon ratification, the new contract would expire March 15, 2011.
Although the current agreement is scheduled to expire on Friday, August 31, the parties agreed to an extension to allow for a ratification vote.
