Horsehead Employees Ratify New Contract

Members of United Steelworkers local 8183-25 have ratified a new labor agreement with Horsehead Holding Corp.
The new agreement, which covers 32 hourly members at Horsehead's power plant at its Monaca facility, was tentatively approved on Aug. 29.
The new contract expires March 15, 2011.
Horsehead Holding Corp. is the parent company of Horsehead Corp., a leading U.S. producer of specialty zinc and zinc-based products, and among the world's largest recyclers of electric arc furnace (EAF) dust. Headquartered in Monaca, Pa., Horsehead employs over 1000 people and has six operating locations throughout the U.S.
