Horsehead and Nucor Expand, Extend Recycling Services Agreement

Horsehead Corp. has entered into a 10-year agreement with Nucor Corp. that will expand and extend the existing commercial relationship between the companies.

Horsehead committed to construct an EAF dust recycling facility in Barnwell, S.C., based on the company’s existing 12-year agreement with Nucor.  Under the existing agreement, Horsehead supports three of Nucor’s steel mills in the Southeastern U.S.

The new agreement, which does not affect the three Nucor mills serviced by Barnwell, extends the existing service contracts with all of the other Nucor steel mills that Horsehead currently services. The agreement also expands the relationship to include additional Nucor facilities across the United States.
