Hoping to Lure SDI Mill, Texas County Creates Investment Incentive Zone
02/18/2019 - Of the sites Steel Dynamics Inc. is looking at for its new flat-rolled mill, one is in eastern Texas, not far from Corpus Christi, the Corpus Christi Caller Times reveals.
According to the newspaper, San Patricio County commissioners on Monday agreed to create a 2,500-acre reinvestment zone for the mill.
Steel Dynamics has not announced a final decision on a site, and chief executive Mark Millett recently told FastMarkets AMM that the company is considering five sites, three of which are in Texas.
